Window of Opportunity

Carlos is my husband of 32 years.

He was diagnosed with Prostate cancer; it was removed and was
contained. He was sent home to recover and four days later he
had some complications.

He saw the primary care doctor and was sent to the ER at
Rockdale Hospital. Multiple blood clots were found in his
lungs. The next day he was life-flighted to Piedmont Hospital
where he was taken into the OR immediately because the right
atrium of his heart was found to have a large amount of
clotting.

I was told he might not make it to the hospital but he was
operated on. When the surgeons opened him up, they found that
he was being kept alive by blood being allowed to flow thru a
small open window between the two chambers of his heart.

It is called the Foramen Ovule.
A miracle had occurred allowing him to stay alive.

The miracle was this:
The little window is open when we are inside our mother's womb
to allow the blood to flow freely through the chambers of the
heart. We, of course, don't need the full heart function of
blood flow at that time because we are getting oxygen from the
umbilical cord in the womb. The doctors were amazed and said it
was a miracle because this little window closes up and seals
itself shut the moment we take our first breath of air.

It remains shut our entire life. Carlos' had been closed for 60
years. God opened it and allowed him to live. Only hours
earlier I was on the phone with him crying, saying he didn't
want it to end this way. He wanted to be able to take care of
his family. I told him I would pray for him and he began
repeating the prayer with me. I told him I would pray and it
dawned on me he wanted to pray. So I asked him if he wanted me
to pray the prayer of salvation with him and he said, "Yes."

He repeated it with me and was saved. See Carlos opened his
heart to Jesus and Jesus opened the window in Carlos' heart,
saving his life.
